Annual Compendium of Disability Statistics and Research-to-Policy Roundtable
You are cordially invited to attend the release of the Annual Compendium of Disability Statistics and the Third Annual Research-to-Policy Roundtable meeting in Washington, DC. Both events will be held on Wednesday, December 11th in the Capitol Hill area.
The Compendium release briefing, generally held from 9:00 – 11:30am, will include a briefing and a one-hour workshop on the sources and uses of disability statistics. The Compendium is a web-based tool that pools disability statistics published by various federal agencies together in one place. When working on legislative and other matters relating to persons with disabilities, the Compendium will make finding and using disability statistics easier. It will prove invaluable to your work.
The Research-to-Policy Roundtable, scheduled from 1:00 – 3:00pm, will provide an opportunity for disability advocates, policymakers and researchers to discuss ways that research can assist policymakers in developing better coordination between safety net programs and employment services for persons with disabilities.
